Hi I am Patricia Labitoria, the author of this blog. I am a novice hiker and I started this blog to record the mountains I climb. I am also an environmentalist who loves words, art and adventures.
I titled my blog " The long lost startle" after my favorite book of poetry by my college english prof., Joel Toledo. Whenever I read his poems, I am reminded of the little things in this world, the small wonders we often miss or forget.
